  • Overview

    The Executive Assistant, Business Operations will support the President of Business Operations and the Director, Business Operations & External Affairs. The Assistant will be responsible for handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and must be able to work with little or no supervision. The Coordinator must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a high profile executive management team. The position requires the utmost professionalism and discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information and documents.


    • Schedule and organize meetings, travel, conferences, board meetings , speaking engagements, special functions and other business activities as required;
    • Proactively administer and manage the calendar of the President, Business Operations and Director, Business Operations & External Affairs;
    • Assist the SVP, Revenue and Associate Counsel & Special Advisor to Business Operations as needed;
    • Handle multiple requests for time on executives calendar and utilize strong judgment in managing priorities of requests and escalating as necessary for resolution and/or prioritization;
    • Proactively monitor and respond to phone calls, email and other correspondence in a timely and efficient manner. Determine the nature and purpose of inquiries and communicate messages and pertinent information with professionalism. Assure that the President, SVP and Director are aware of time sensitive matters, conflicts or required actions;
    • Attend and provide appropriate support as needed for home games, meetings/conferences/events and team business functions;
    • Prepare and organize presentation materials, meeting information and communications as required; Proofread documents and work with author of the documents to ensure all correct revisions are received. Prepare and coordinate agenda;
    • Draft and file meeting notes, follow up correspondence, and key actions and ensure communication thereof with all relevant parties as appropriate;
    • Assist with the coordination of the NBA Summer Meetings and All-Star Weekend for staff
    • Organize and prioritize confidential and sensitive information
    • Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare background documents as necessary;
    • Manage expense reporting for President, SVP and Director and all related activities;
    • Coordinate travel and ground transportation arrangements for executives and ownership group as needed;
    • Manage the department’s donation inventory;
    • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner;
    • Perform light accounting work such as check requests, approval and payments of invoices;
    • Manage the Outlook Shared Calendar;Complete special projects and other duties assigned


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience required;
    • Minimum of one to two years of relevant experience;
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to work with employees at all levels within and outside the organization in a highly professional manner;
    • Ability to research independently, multi-task and meet deadlines under tight timeframes;
    • Must be highly organized with a strong work ethic and attention to detail;
    • Excellent presentation, writing, editing and proofreading skills;
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information with the highest integrity;
    • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed;
    • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
