  • Overview

    The Advertising & Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting four major areas: (1) creating and managing digital ad campaigns, (2) content management, (3) marketing channel data gathering, and (4) billing and invoicing support.


    The position plays an active role in building awareness and excitement for our family of brands - Memphis Grizzlies, FedExForum, Grind City Media, Memphis Hustle, and Grizz Gaming. 





    • Purchase and placement of digital and traditional media ads for paid social, paid search, display, online retargeting, TV, radio, and print for Memphis Hustle, FedExForum;
    • Update and maintain the Marketing Asset Usage repository of campaigns;
    • Represent Marketing for Promotions at FedExForum event meetings;
    • Determine content for What’s Happening at FedExForum advertisements;
    • Create marketing summary reports of FedExForum events;
    • Review tear sheets for correct ads per insertion orders;
    • Confirm make-goods are successfully ran as agreed, and/or resolve discrepancies;
    • Distribute print ad materials, flyers, posters, gift packages, etc;
    • Proof ads before they are distributed.


    Content Management


    • Upload articles, podcasts, videos and other content on;
    • Manage FedExForum YouTube and Pinterest channel;
    • Place events on external sources, such as Eventbrite;
    • Source for imagery and clips.


    Marketing Channel Data Gathering


    • Collect reports from marketing channel partners on campaign performance;
    • Perform data entry and ensure data is correctly formatted and reflected in Excel or Google Sheets for marketing channels without automation. This includes TV, radio, print, email, mobile app downloads, text message ticketing, banner ads, etc;
    • Ensure spreadsheets are updated prior to the weekly deadline for ingestion into our reporting system;
    • Collaborate with Marketing Strategy Analyst regarding data gathering initiatives;
    • Assist with ongoing market research initiatives and data collection/entry;
    • Assist with updating online ad reporting.


    Billing & Invoicing


    • Code and screen invoices against traffic instructions and insertion orders;
    • Circulate invoices for approval;
    • Research statements and follow-up with Finance regarding payment as needed.


    Other duties as required


    • Provide marketing campaigns decisions In absence of Director, Advertising & Digital Marketing;
    • Draft ad copy for radio, social media and online ads in absence of Copywriter, ensuring copy is on-brand, and confirms that content accuracy (dates, pricing, etc.);
    • Other duties as required.





    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing or a related field.
    • Minimum 2-3 years related work experience.
    • Knowledge of creating paid search and paid social advertising using Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, AdRoll, etc.
    • Knowledge and thorough understanding of the fundamentals of writing advertising copy.
    • Highly organized, focused, and extremely detail-oriented.
    • Able to juggle multiple tasks and complete tasks and projects on time.
    • Able to quickly assimilate new information and learn new skills.
    • Excellent computer skills including MSExcel, MSWord, & MSOffice.
    • Must be a team player with a strong customer service focus.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as required.




    • Previous experience with data gathering is a plus.
    • Knowledge and passion of NBA Basketball.
